After a long wait for a response from politicians associated with the ruling coalition, the mayor of Kłodzko, Michał Piszko, addressed the pedophilia-zoophilia scandal in which a former activist of the then Civic Platform (PO) was convicted. He spoke on TV Republika on Good Friday in front of the town hall building.
Premises for the victims
Piszko explained the issue raised by Niezalezna.pl regarding the allocation of two separate apartments to Kamila L. and her parents after the flood.
“We received funds from Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego to purchase 15 municipal apartments and 5 additional units. For the purchase of those 15 apartments from a developer, we received PLN 7 million,” said the mayor.
He emphasized that the BGK project was related to assistance for those affected by the flood that hit the city in September 2024. The parents of Kamila L., who had previously lived together with her and her children in one house, received a separate apartment as part of the flood relief program. The woman received the highest score among applicants for housing.
Piszko admitted that priority in the allocation of apartments was given to people who lost their privately owned homes due to the flood.
Why two apartments?
Regarding the issue of two separate apartments, he stressed that it was due to available housing conditions – the apartments were no larger than 60 square meters. Each resident should have 16 square meters of living space, which is why a family of seven was granted two separate units. He added that at the time, the woman moved in with four children. It is now known that Kamila L. is banned from approaching her eldest daughter, who was a victim of her former husband.
When asked whether Kamila L.’s prior contacts and political involvement helped her obtain the apartment, he replied briefly, “She was a victim,” cutting the matter short.
“I would like to refer here to the process of allocating apartments, particularly in this case – lease agreements for two years. (…) In the case of Ms. Kamila W. (the woman changed her surname back to her maiden name – ed.), this period runs from July 2025 to July 2027,” explained Piszko, adding that social housing units are not granted as property but are rented from the municipality.
“I approve the commission’s decision”
He explained the high number of points with objective factors such as a child’s disability. It is known that Kamila L.’s youngest child has a disability certificate due to autism.
The number of points is awarded by a housing commission. “I approve the commission’s decision,” he added, describing himself merely as a “notary of the decision.”
The issue of children and their care
Asked by journalists whether he knew about Kamila L.’s legal situation and the charges against her at the time she applied for housing, he said directly, “Yes, I knew.”
He added that at that time the woman had not yet been convicted. He stressed that in this situation he “wanted to focus on the children,” who, in his opinion, had no other place to live.
“According to my information, Ms. Kamila is currently not taking care of these children. They have been placed under the care of their grandparents by a probation officer’s decision,” said the mayor of Kłodzko.
