MP Dariusz Matecki raised the alarm on platform X about blatant violations of election silence online by Civic Platform politicians Arkadiusz Myrcha and Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz. In both cases, Matecki announced he would refer the matter to the prosecutor’s office.
Człowiek chciał spokojnie spędzić weekend z dala od polityki ale naruszający prawo nie pozwalają. Profil Kamili Gasiuk-Pihowicz w czasie ciszy wyborczej. Agitacja wyborcza za jednym z kandydatów.

Zarówno w jej sprawie jak i w sprawie Myrchy skieruję zawiadomienia do prokuratury pic.twitter.com/3FgM15r718
According to Matecki, on Saturday, during the period of election silence around 7:00 AM, Kamila Gasiuk-Pihowicz posted on platform X, urging people to vote for her preferred candidate.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Justice Arkadiusz Myrcha admitted himself that he had posted on Facebook during the election silence, sharing content that promoted one of the candidates.
Although Myrcha tried to justify his actions, there have been calls for his resignation. It’s worth noting that posting, sharing, liking, or commenting on content related to candidates on social media during the election silence is considered a violation and may be classified as a misdemeanor or a criminal offense. These actions are regulated by Article 498 of the Electoral Code.
