“Siemens profited from the slave labor of Poles,” “Volkswagen made huge profits from the slave labor of Poles,” “You abducted 200,000 Polish children from their mothers” – these are just some of the slogans that participants of the demonstration in front of the German embassy in Warsaw left for the staff of the mission in a symbolic form.




A demonstration in support of Poles who were brutally treated by Berlin police officers took place on Tuesday evening in front of the German embassy in Warsaw.
Among those present were the daughter of Robert Bąkiewicz, members of Gazeta Polska clubs from across Poland, and politicians from Law and Justice (PiS).
The demonstrators left symbolic stones for the embassy staff. Each of them bore the inscription “reparations”. They also included historical facts related to World War II.
“Siemens profited from the slave labor of Poles,” “Volkswagen made huge profits from the slave labor of Poles,” “You abducted 200,000 Polish children from their mothers” these are just some of the slogans.
The total amount of Poland’s losses is 6 trillion 220 billion 609 million zlotys, which converts to 1 trillion 532 billion 170 million dollars. Material losses amounted to nearly 800 billion zlotys – according to the Report on the losses suffered by Poland as a result of German aggression and occupation.
