    Extraordinary Reading Contest

    In the Office of Artistic Exhibitions of Pilski County, the grand finale of the 3rd Pilski County Beautiful Reading Contest for Prose Texts took place. Organized by the School at Teatralna Street in Pila, the competition showcased students from primary and secondary schools, skillfully reading excerpts from classics like “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Peasants” by Reymont, Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” Prus’ “The Doll,” and contemporary works by Olga Tokarczuk and Dorota Masłowska.


    Arkadiusz Kubich, Deputy Starost of Pilski, praised the competition for promoting reading among children and youth. The jury, including Marzenna Krakowiak, Andrzej Hajduś, and Dominika Wróbel, selected winners in both primary and secondary school categories.

    1. Lena Jagiełka from Primary School in Kruszewo – Teacher: Iwona Werner
    2. Karolina Dominikowska from Primary School No. 3 in Pila – Teacher: Marika Naskręt
    3. Maja Skwierawska from Primary School No. 4 in Pila – Teacher: Małgorzata Zyber

    Secondary School Category:

    1. Agata Kulesza from Stanisław Staszic High School in Pila – Teacher: Ewa Rozpłoch
    2. Julia Lewandowska from School at Teatralna Street in Pila – Teacher: Jagoda Bartz
    3. Kalina Grzeszczak from I LO in Pila – Teacher: Izabela Jarecka

    The Audience Award went to Lena Jagiełka. The contest was held under the honorary patronage of Pilski County Head Eligiusz Komarowski.

    Congratulations to all the winners and participants, contributing to the celebration of literature in Pilski County.
