    Former Deputy Head of Civic Platform Club Janusz P. Transported to Prosecutor’s Office Amid Fraud Allegations

    Former deputy head of the Civic Platform (PO) party club, Janusz P., along with Przemysław B. and Zbigniew B., have been taken to the prosecutor’s office in Wrocław. This information was shared by Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the Special Services Coordinator. The men were detained on Thursday by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) in connection with an investigation into a large-scale fraud scheme involving approximately 70 million PLN and thousands of victims. Charges are expected to be brought against them today.

    Dobrzyński confirmed via the social platform X that the men were being transported to the Lower Silesian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption. Earlier, Dobrzyński indicated that the investigation, conducted in collaboration with the National Prosecutor’s Office, pertains to the suspicion of significant fraud.

    Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson Przemysław Nowak further clarified that the case involves the defrauding of thousands of individuals, resulting in financial losses nearing 70 million PLN.

    Minister of Internal Affairs Tomasz Siemoniak, commenting on the case, emphasized that the CBA and the prosecutor’s office face no limitations regarding the individuals involved. He noted that the actions taken indicate the seriousness with which the prosecutor’s office is handling the matter.
