Germany Changing Its Tune? Merz Admits: “Rising Violence Linked to Immigration”

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated in the Bundestag that the increase in violence in Germany is also connected to immigration. “What we in PiS have been saying from the very beginning is slowly reaching the other side of the Oder,” noted Michał Dworczyk on platform X.

During a parliamentary debate in the Bundestag, the German chancellor addressed issues of public safety and the rise in violent incidents across the country. In his remarks, he emphasized that crime statistics show a “significant share of offenses committed by immigrants.”

Merz had previously pointed out that the state is struggling to manage the influx of refugees, leading to “very critical” situations in certain sectors and cities. He also highlighted a growing sense of insecurity among residents, particularly in urban areas after dark.

Dworczyk responded to Merz’s comments on platform X:

“What we have been saying from the very beginning is finally getting across the Oder. How much hate was poured on us by Donald Tusk’s team and his German partners from the European People’s Party…” he wrote.
