Every meeting between President Karol Nawrocki and Polish soldiers begins with a loud shout: “Greetings, soldiers!” (“Czołem Żołnierze!”), and so it was this time as well, at the military base in Ādaži.
On Thursday, President Karol Nawrocki, who is on a one-day working visit to Latvia, met in Riga with that country’s president, Edgars Rinkeviczs.
After the joint press conference of the two presidents, the Polish head of state visited the military base in Ādaži, Latvia, where soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces (WP) are stationed.
“Greetings, soldiers!”
And there – a loud and emphatic greeting from the president to the servicemembers rang out: “Greetings, soldiers!” The president addressed his compatriots stationed in Latvia, saying, “Whenever I review the company and look into your eyes – it’s a fraction of a second – a moment in which I am especially proud of you. I know I am looking into the eyes of those who love the Republic. It is also a moment in which I am grateful to you – thanks to you Poland is strong.”
“A Polish soldier is a value in himself!” – emphasized Nawrocki, adding greetings and thanks from the president and prime minister of Latvia.
Dear soldiers, you present Poland to the world also through the values you uphold. For your loyalty to the Republic, I thank you deeply. I also thank you for your sacrifice and your service, said President Nawrocki.
