Iga Swiatek claimed her second victory at the World Tennis League tournament in Dubai. On Thursday, the Pole won against Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6:4, 6:3.
The Pole was originally scheduled to play on Thursday against Anett Kontaveit, but the Estonian had to withdraw from the tournament. Iga Swiatek’s change of opponent did not make much difference and she defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in two sets. Earlier in the day, she defeated Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia.
