    International tensions escalate as UN Security Council session ends in walkout

    The United States, the United Kingdom, Albania and Malta walked out as Russian children’s rights advocate, Maria Lvova-Belova, who is being prosecuted by the International Criminal Court, began speaking remotely at the 15-nation U.N. Security Council. The UK and the U.S. also blocked the informal meeting on Ukraine, convened by Russia to focus on “evacuating children from conflict zones,” from being webcast by the United Nations.
