The great spring celebrations are about to begin again! This year’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the Royal Castle in Warsaw is attracting the attention of history lovers and families from all over the country. For the third time, as part of these quadrennial celebrations, it invites you to an unforgettable family event that will take place in the charming open air of the Royal Gardens – an oasis of greenery in the heart of the capital.
The organisers have prepared a rich programme of attractions that are sure to delight both older and younger participants. There will be a wide variety of attractions, such as outdoor games and activities, first aid workshops and a unique exhibition of fire engines, organised by the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Warsaw. For fans of classical music, the Amabile ensemble has prepared a concert entitled Viennese Melodies, which will begin the opening ceremony of the picnic at 11:30 am.
Performances by the finalists of the popular talent show Flying Body Art Theatre are also scheduled throughout the day. Their spectacular and surprising performances will take place at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Fans of the floral art will have the opportunity to admire demonstrations by master florists Dominika Wolna and Zbigniew Dziwulski, who will present the fascinating Conversations of Flowers at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
For the youngest participants, there will also be a performance of Magic and Sorcery by the Clown Kluseczka. At 15:00 and 17:00, children will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of fun and laughter during a performance by this colourful clown.
In the evening, at 18:00, exciting balloon flights are planned for the brave. This is a unique opportunity to admire the panorama of Warsaw from the perspective of the sky and feel the unique magic of this event.
At the end of the day, at 8:30 p.m., an exceptional artist – Monika Borzym – will present herself on stage. Her concert will be the perfect culmination of this year’s celebration of the 50th anniversary of the restoration of the Royal Castle.
In addition, for all those interested in history and architecture, there is a free tour of the Castle along the Royal Route. Admission is possible on the basis of free tickets, which can be obtained at the Castle’s ticket office or in Kubicki Arcades on the day of the picnic, immediately before the tour.
All residents and guests of Warsaw are invited to this unique family event. Let the last Sunday of May be a day full of joy and common celebration, commemorating an important jubilee not only for the Castle but also for the whole capital.
