“Poland demands today – send Tusk back to Berlin! The crowds at the Independence March are showing their devotion to the Homeland. We are proud to be Poles and we will always defend our nation against foreign forces! Long live a strong, proud, and independent Poland!” wrote Sławomir Mentzen, one of the leaders of the Confederation, on X.
This year’s march was being held under the slogan “One Nation, Strong Poland.” The same slogan appears on the banner carried at the front of the march.
The organizers estimate that around 250,000 to 300,000 people may take part in the demonstration.
