    Paweł Wąsek and Anna Twardosz Crowned Polish Ski Jumping Champions

    Paweł Wąsek secured his first-ever Polish ski jumping championship title in Zakopane. Competing on the iconic Wielka Krokiew hill, Wąsek (WSS Wisła) soared to distances of 145 and 134.5 meters, earning a total score of 279.9 points. He outperformed seasoned competitors, with Kamil Stoch (S Eve-nement Zakopane) taking silver at 263.5 points and Jakub Wolny (LKS Klimczok Bystra) clinching bronze with 251.1 points.

    Close Competition Among Women

    In the women’s category, Anna Twardosz (KS AZS AWF Katowice) claimed the gold medal with 176.4 points after jumps of 110 and 122 meters. Pola Bełtowska (AZS Zakopane), who led after the first round, secured silver with 175.3 points. Nicole Konderla (KS AZS AWF Katowice) completed the podium with a score of 135.8.

    The men’s event saw 58 participants, with notable performances from national team members Aleksander Zniszczoł and Piotr Żyła, who placed fourth and fifth respectively. Among the seven women competing, Twardosz demonstrated her dominance.

    The excitement continues next weekend, as Zakopane prepares to host the World Cup on the same hill.
