Poland as the Regional Voice at the G20: Marcin Przydacz on Representing Central and Eastern Europe

The Head of the International Policy Bureau, Marcin Przydacz, emphasized at a press conference in Washington that Poland, as the representative of the entire Central and Eastern European region, is taking part in preparations for next year’s G20 summit in Florida.

Poland at the G20 Summit

At a briefing held in Washington, the Head of the International Policy Bureau pointed out that Poland’s role in the current G20 discussions has increased significantly. He also stressed that over three decades, Poland has built a strong economic position that is now being recognized internationally:

I am extremely proud that Poland is also participating in these meetings, said Marcin Przydacz, noting that Poland represents the entire Central and Eastern European region, which until now has been insufficiently represented within the G20.

The Head of the IPB recalled that Poland’s transformation is being acknowledged by partners around the world.

Today, many countries appreciate Poland as a state that has multiplied its GDP over three decades. From a country behind the Iron Curtain, operating under a centrally planned economy, we have built a fully market-based economy focused on new technologies and global trade,”

he emphasized.

According to Przydacz, the current diplomatic preparations are crucial for next year’s G20 summit in Florida. It is there that Poland will take part for the first time as a full participant in a summit of countries accounting for more than 80 percent of global GDP.

The culmination of a year-long preparation process will be the G20 summit in Florida, where Poland will be represented by President Karol Nawrocki,”

 he noted.
