Poland Defeats Cuba 3-0 in Men’s Volleyball Nations League

Polish volleyball team triumphed over Cuba with a commanding 3-0 victory (25:17, 25:20, 25:20) in the final match of the intercontinental phase of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL). This victory marks Poland’s tenth win under the leadership of coach Nikola Grbić.

Although the outcome held no significant implications for Poland, as they had already secured Olympic qualification last year and their spot in the VNL finals as hosts, the match showcased the team’s consistent performance and readiness for the upcoming finals in Łódź, scheduled from June 27-30.

The Polish team featured Mateusz Bieniek, Tomasz Fornal, Norbert Huber, Marcin Janusz, Bartosz Kurek, Wilfredo Leon, and Paweł Zatorski (libero), with Bartłomiej Bołądź and Grzegorz Łomacz also playing key roles. Cuba’s lineup included Miguel Castro, Javier Concepcion, Christian Mejias, Michael Sanchez, Robertlandy Simon, Marlon Yant, and Jesus Lopez (libero), with contributions from Jose Alvarez, Lyvan Diaz, Carlos Santana, and Yonder Alvarez (libero).

Poland now looks forward to the finals, eager to perform on home soil and potentially claim the VNL title.
