A remarkable achievement for “Zielona Górka,” a pizzeria from Pabianice, Poland, as it has been ranked 97th in the prestigious “50 Top Pizza World” 2023 list, which highlights the 100 best pizzerias globally. The ranking, based on anonymous evaluations by judges, features top establishments from around the world, with the title going to “Una Pizza Napoletana” from New York.
Jędrzej Lewandowski, the owner of “Zielona Górka,” expressed surprise and joy at the recognition, stating, “We had no idea when or by whom we were evaluated. It’s an incredible achievement for our entire team.” Lewandowski added that receiving the invitation to the award ceremony in Naples was already a significant honor, but securing a place in the top 100 was an unexpected bonus.
The top three spots in the ranking were dominated by New York’s Una Pizza Napoletana, followed by two Italian pizzerias: Diego Vitagliano from Naples and I Masanielli – Francesco Martucci from Caserta. Other pizzerias in the top 10 included venues from Japan, Spain, and the UK, reflecting the global diversity of top-tier pizza makers.
Despite the success, Lewandowski sees this as just the beginning. “There’s much to learn, and we have more to achieve,” he said, emphasizing his passion for pizza-making and the dedication of his team.
