Former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki presented the assumptions of the “Powered by Poland” strategy. “All of this creates a new economic policy,” he said, pointing to several key areas.
A conference presenting the report “#PoweredbyPoland – a comprehensive strategy outlining the directions for the economic, social, and infrastructure development of our country” has begun. The event was organized by a member of Law and Justice (PiS), Mateusz Morawiecki.
In his strategy, the former prime minister proposed making better use of Polish savings, noting that Poles hold savings amounting to PLN 3.6 trillion. He also spoke about the nationalization of public procurement, as well as lower energy prices. Morawiecki also called for a radical acceleration of administrative and court decisions, pointing, among other things, to the principle of “silent consent.”
“An official must know that they are paid from the taxes of the entrepreneur (…) There can be no sending someone away empty-handed after 60 days only to extend the process for another 60 days,” said Morawiecki.
Recently, there has been considerable discussion about SAFE (or the Polish SEJF 0%), so the issue of armaments was also addressed.
“What do we gain from spending huge amounts on armaments? It must become part of the Polish economic process,” Morawiecki said, referring to the Israeli model. “It is a powerful lever for economic growth,” he added.
According to the principles of economic nationalism, money should be invested in the Polish economy – Morawiecki continued. He also spoke about a new investment policy, describing investments as “powerful engines of growth.” – Expansion of container ports, the Central Communication Port – he listed.
“All of this creates a new economic policy, Powered by Poland, which must be implemented by the government,” Morawiecki said, calling for the country to make use of the better years ahead.
