President Nawrocki to Visit Ukraine in Return? “We Will Consider It When There Is a Reason”

Presidential minister Marcin Przydacz commented on Friday’s visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Warsaw and on the question of a possible return visit by President Karol Nawrocki to Kyiv. As the head of the International Policy Bureau emphasized, the key priority at present is the implementation of the arrangements agreed during the direct talks between the two leaders.

Volodymyr Zelensky was in Warsaw on Friday, where he met with President Karol Nawrocki at the Presidential Palace. The talks focused primarily on security issues, historical relations, and economic cooperation. President Nawrocki stressed that the Ukrainian leader’s visit to Warsaw sends a negative signal to Russia and demonstrates that Poland, Ukraine, and the countries of the region remain united on key security matters. President Zelensky, in turn, expressed hope for the beginning of a new stage in bilateral relations.

Minister Marcin Przydacz addressed the visit and its consequences on Friday evening on Radio ZET.

“Only today did the visit to Warsaw take place – one that we had been working on not for weeks, but for months. Let us first allow all the decisions and commitments made during this direct conversation to be fulfilled,”

he said.

Asked about a possible visit by President Karol Nawrocki to Ukraine, Przydacz noted that this would be considered at the appropriate time.

“We will only think about a possible return visit when there is a reason for it. However, there has certainly been a degree of opening in bilateral relations today,”

he assessed.

The minister also emphasized that the talks were conducted in a good atmosphere and were concrete and substantive in nature.

“Economic issues were discussed, including possible preferential conditions for Polish entrepreneurs in the future reconstruction of Ukraine, but above all, the main topic was the security situation,”

he reported.

When pressed about President Nawrocki’s personal attitude toward a visit to Kyiv, Przydacz noted that such a possibility had never been ruled out.

“It is possible in the future. However, it will depend on the state of affairs and on the implementation of the decisions that were taken today,”

he concluded.
