In an unusual incident in Stalowa Wola, Podkarpackie, emergency services are currently searching for a royal python that was reportedly thrown out of an apartment window.
According to RMF FM, the search efforts for the royal python involve the fire brigade, police, and the Crisis Management Center operating out of the Stalowa Wola City Hall.
Local media reported that the snake had been thrown from a third-floor apartment at General Leopold Okulicki Street. It landed on the sill of a ground-floor apartment before slithering inside.
The snake’s presence came to light when a resident, heading to the kitchen at night, encountered the python, became frightened, and threw it out the window. The python has since vanished, and authorities are urging anyone who has seen the snake to contact the police immediately.
The royal python, one of the smallest species of pythons in the world, can grow between 120 to 180 cm in length and weigh up to 5 kg. This incident has prompted a city-wide alert, as these non-native creatures can pose unexpected challenges if they are not promptly found and properly managed.
