Boxers Imane Khelif from Algeria and Lin Yu-Ting from Taiwan should not participate in the Paris Olympic Games because they are men competing in women’s events. The International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) decision has particularly outraged Italians, as Khelif is set to fight Angela Carini today. These male boxers pretending to be women may also face Polish competitors in the bracket.
Last year, Imane Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting were disqualified by the International Boxing Association (IBA). IBA President Umar Kremlow stated regarding the aforementioned athletes, “Based on DNA tests, we identified several athletes who tried to cheat by posing as women. The test results showed they have XY chromosomes. Such athletes were excluded from the competition.” However, the IOC does not recognize the disqualifications imposed by the IBA. Khelif, in the 66 kg category, debuted in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, reaching the quarterfinals before losing to Kellie Harrington from Ireland. So far, the Algerian boxer has won nine bouts and lost five, competing against women. When the transgender boxer was excluded from the world championships, the Algerian federation and the boxer’s entourage raised an outcry, claiming it was a deliberate campaign to deprive the country of a medal chance.

Italians Fear for Their Boxer
Matteo Salvini, leader of the Northern League, spoke out on the matter. “Insults and threats for expressing an opinion that I believe is widely shared among Italians: a woman competing in the Olympic Games against a trans-boxer is an unacceptable madness resulting from the hypocrisy of political correctness,” he said.
Supporters of Khelif’s participation in the Olympics argue that the Algerian was born a woman and there is no proof he is a man. However, they do not address the DNA tests conducted by the IBA. The federation clearly confirmed that both Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting have male chromosomes. The IOC’s statement on the matter only said: “All athletes participating in the boxing tournament in Paris adhere to the qualification rules for the competition, as well as all applicable medical regulations.”
Why Is It Scandalous to Include Biological Men in Women’s Competitions?
The simple reason is that it’s unfair and goes against the spirit of fair play. If such a practice made no difference, there would be no gender-based competition divisions since the dawn of sports.
A Woman Fighting Men
Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting are not the only athletes ruining sports through gender madness. Hergie Bacyadan from the Philippines also wished to step into the ring against the fairer sex in Paris. Interestingly, the boxer has claimed for years to be a man, although she was born a woman with female reproductive organs. Bacyadan did not undergo transition surgery. At 29 years old, she will compete in the heaviest category of 77 kg. This time, at least, it’s a biological woman wanting to compete against theoretically stronger men, rather than the other way around.
The most controversy during the previous Olympic Games in Tokyo was sparked by Laurel Hubbard, a 43-year-old who presented as a woman in weightlifting. Ultimately, Hubbard did not win an Olympic medal, although being born male, she was one of the main favorites in the 87 kg category. It is worth noting that the weightlifter transitioned in 2013. In the junior category, Laurel competed as Gavin. After transitioning, she achieved success in world championships, significantly influenced by competing against women.
Italian Boxer Defeated by Imane Khelif
Imane Khelif has already had her first fight and… is now in the quarterfinals of the Olympic Games. Today, the “representative” of Algeria faced off against Italian Angela Carini. After receiving several blows from the much physically stronger “opponent” (which, given the circumstances, is not surprising), the Italian asked for a break and conceded the fight.
Carini did not shake hands with her “rival” and cried. She reportedly told her coach that she felt pain in her nose and did not want to continue fighting. She stated that she had never been hit so hard in her career.
And the entire fight looked like this:

What a disgrace!
What about the rights of biological female athletes?
