Donald Tusk boasted today, in a video published on the X platform, that his government is behind the construction of a Polish ferry that will soon set sail for Sweden. He naturally attributes all the credit to himself and his cabinet. But who is actually behind this investment?
“Regarding the ferry that Tusk and half of the Civic Platform are boasting about today, I have one question for them: when did the hull of this ferry have its launch? I’ll give you a hint—October 31, 2022. Was Tusk in power then?” replied former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
The ferry Jantar will soon operate the Świnoujście–Trelleborg route.
The vessel will serve the Świnoujście–Trelleborg connection on behalf of a Polish operator. “I will also add that the second ferry, Bursztyn, is nearing completion. So perhaps it is Tusk who should feel embarrassed after all…” wrote former Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation Marek Gróbarczyk on social media.
However, Tusk does not appear embarrassed, as he has claimed the entire success for himself and his government.
That is why former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki published a video on social media explaining who truly stands behind the construction of the Polish ferry.
“Regarding the ferry that Tusk and half of the Civic Platform are boasting about today, I have one question for them: when did the hull of this ferry have its launch? I’ll give you a hint—October 31, 2022. Was Tusk in power then? Of course not! So gentlemen, stop riding on our projects and our successes,” the former prime minister says in the recording.
“Finally start thinking and doing something on your own account. We’ve been waiting for that for over two years,” he added.
