TV Republika Leaves Competition in the Dust: “This Is What a Blowout Looks Like”

On Tuesday, July 1, TV Republika dominated the Polish television market, achieving over a 10% market share throughout the day. The station not only outpaced news rival TVN24 but also left behind major broadcasters such as TVP1, TVP2, and Polsat.

It was a politically charged Tuesday, marked on one hand by protests outside the Supreme Court and a decision by the Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs Chamber regarding the validity of the presidential elections, and on the other hand by escalating tensions on the western border, where migrants are regularly being sent back to Poland from Germany.

On that day, Poles clearly chose TV Republika as their primary source of information.

The station recorded a historic market share of 10.05% on July 1, decisively outclassing the competition. Not only did it surpass TVN24, but also mainstream channels like TVP1, Polsat, and TVP2.

“This is what a blowout looks like. TV Republika is now the most-watched television station in Poland,” wrote Jarosław Olechowski, head of editors at TV Republika.

The channel also hit a record on YouTube the same day, with its content receiving 6 million views in just 24 hours.
