The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine’s Deputy Chairperson has expressed gratitude to Polish President Andrzej Duda for his swift decision to dispatch MiG-29 combat aircraft to Ukraine in the near future.
“Poland will transfer to Ukraine four MiG-29 fighters in full working order! This will happen in the coming days, said President of Poland Andrzej Duda,” read the message posted by Olena Kondratiuk on Facebook on Thursday.
“We believe and hope that this decisive act and an example of a real contribution to the protection of the Ukrainian sky will be followed by other countries that have such planes at their disposal,” she wrote
“Thank you, Mr President! Thank you, Polish brothers and sisters!” Kondratiuk added.
In a recent CNN interview, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced that Poland is ready to supply Ukraine with MiGs. He said that four MiGs would be sent to Ukraine in the following days, and the other remaining ones were being serviced and would be delivered afterwards.
