TV Republika journalist Marcin Dobski raised the issue on X of new KIA police cars which, according to his account, have allegedly been sitting unused at police units for months. The journalist claims that the vehicles have recently been dispersed to less visible corners.
Marcin Dobski recalled that he had already returned to the subject earlier. As he wrote, around the May long weekend he reported that hundreds of unused new KIA cars had been standing at police units for many months. According to Dobski, the vehicles were allegedly not being used because, as he claims, the police had neither the funds, time nor willingness to install sirens, radio communication systems and other equipment in them.
According to Dobski’s account, despite the passage of time, the situation has allegedly not changed. “It is almost July. The police cars are still standing where they were,” the journalist wrote.
In his post, he also drew attention to what he described as the current placement of the vehicles. According to him, the cars are no longer gathered in one place, but have been dispersed, between buildings, behind lawns and in less exposed locations.
“When they need to send the police to beat protesting farmers with batons, they can manage that, but synchronising the purchase of police cars and ‘blue lights’ is apparently a task beyond them,”
Dobski commented.
