Renovation of Warsaw Ghetto Museum’s historic headquarters promises an immersive, educational tribute to Holocaust history by 2026.
The Warsaw Ghetto Museum (WGM) is undergoing a major transformation of the historic Bersohn and Bauman Children’s Hospital in Warsaw. By 2026, the site will house a permanent exhibition and educational spaces, preserving the memory of Jewish tragedy in the Warsaw Ghetto during WWII.
Project Scope and Funding
Supported by European Union funds, the project involves renovating two historic buildings and constructing new facilities. The 11,500 m² complex will include exhibition areas, educational centers, and a state-of-the-art Mediateka—a hub for digital archives and immersive experiences.
Honoring Voices of the Past
The permanent exhibition will highlight the stories of women, children, and marginalized communities affected by the Holocaust. Artifacts from archaeological excavations, including personal items, will ground the narrative in historical authenticity.
A Space for Memory and Education
With innovative design, the museum aims to provide universal accessibility and preserve the site’s historical significance. Visitors will explore a multidimensional perspective of Jewish life and resilience during the war.
