    Gas Solaris buses for Warsaw

    New Solaris buses powered by natural gas will be launched on the streets of Warsaw next year. On Tuesday, Miejskie Zakłady Autobusowe signed a contract for the delivery of 70 such buses. The vehicles will be equipped with alcohol locks for drivers.

    According to the information from the Warsaw City Hall, 40 Solaris Urbino 12 CNG 12 meters long and 30 Solaris Urbino 18 CNG 18 meters long will arrive in the capital. Solaris buses will be delivered to Warsaw from April next year. The new buses will be equipped with full truck air conditioning, monitoring, fire protection, electronic internal and external information, as well as facilities for people with reduced mobility in the form of designated places for prams, yellow handrails and barriers, information in Braille, audio announcements of stops. Electric buses are also being delivered at MZA. So far, 60 articulated electric buses have arrived in Warsaw. The entire contract for 130 “electricians” of Solaris will be completed by the end of November this year. Currently, MZA has a fleet of 91 electric and 145 gas buses.
