Pompeo pleased with his visit to Poland

Meeting with our key ally is a critical pillar of our diplomacy strategy, particularly as we seek to advance goals that increase our shared security, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrote on Twitter after a meeting with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

He added that he was pleased to meet Prime Minister Morawiecki in Warsaw “on this historic date on the centenary of the Battle of Warsaw”. On Saturday in Warsaw, Mike Pompeo also met with President Andrzej Duda and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jacek Czaputowicz. The talks focused on the situation in Belarus, as well as the agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. In turn, Prime Minister Morawiecki informed that there was also talk of military cooperation between Poland and the USA, the construction of the 5G network, and the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, which is opposed by both Poland and the USA.
