I absolutely do not recommend the further opening of schools. In the second week of February, we will repeat the teachers’ screening tests and based on the results of these tests will we recommend further steps, the head of the Ministry of Health, Adam Niedzielski said.
Niedzielski was asked about the opening of schools since February 8 in Radio Zet.
As he added, if it turns out that opening schools for students in grades 1-3 did not increase the infection rate, there will be a possibility to make further decisions. For now – stressed Niedzielski – nothing will happen in terms of schools.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science Tomasz Rzymkowski said on Monday that in February there was a chance for more students to return to schools. “For now, we are analyzing the epidemiological situation,” he said on Polish Radio Łódź.
