    A great performance by the Pole in Courchevel

    American Mikaela Shiffrin won the women’s giant slalom in Courchevel, France. Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel after a great ride took sixth place. It was the Pole’s best performance in the Alpine World Cup.

    Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel was 2.44 seconds slower than the American in two runs in Courchevel. The second Pole, Magdalena Łuczak, also did very well. She was classified in 20th place with a loss of 4.56 seconds.

     

     

    Mikaela Shiffrin was followed by Sweden’s Sara Hector (0.86 seconds) and Switzerland’s Michelle Gisin (1.08 seconds). World Cup overall leader Sofia Goggia of Italy did not finish the second run.
