Ukrainian forces successfully prevented a Russian attempt to cross the rivers in the Donbas. Russia’s primary goal is to encircle Ukrainian forces and isolate them from support from the western part of the country. In turn, the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko, believes that Russia may resume its offensive on the Ukrainian capital at any time.

This morning, Russian forces launched a missile attack in which they destroyed the cultural centre in Dergacze near Kharkiv. It housed a humanitarian aid centre. Schools are under fire in the Chechen region.
