Iga Swiatek and Lesia Tsurenko in the first round of the 2022 Roland Garros Grand Slam. The Polish leader of the WTA ranking begins her fight in Paris. This time she won 6-2, 6-0 over Tsurenko.
The 20-year-old came to France as a big favourite for the Grand Slam title. Iga won her 29th consecutive match 6-2,6-0 over Lesia Tsurenko. She has been unbeaten in her last 29 matches.

By winning the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, Swiatek defended the title she won last year and also won her fifth successive tournament.
This year, Swiatek has won tournaments in Doha, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart and Internazionali BNL d’Italia last year having won in Rome and Adelaide. Her greatest achievement to date is a Grand Slam win at the French Open in 2020.
Her run of 29 undefeated matches is the fourth-longest in women’s tennis since the year 2000 and has been bettered only by Venus Williams (USA, 35 matches undefeated), her sister Serena Williams (34) and Belgium’s Justine Henin (32).
