European Startup Prize for StorkJet from Katowice! 4th edition of ChangeNow festival [PHOTOS]

A Startup StrokJet from Katowice created by the business development manager Arkadiusz Adamek received the award for the best Startup in Europe in the field of mobility at the ChangeNow festival. The business deals with reading data from black boxes and optimizing fuel consumption, which reduces the carbon footprint generated by airplanes.

StorkJet started the first part of the year on a grand scale. The company has been selected as the winner of the European Startup Prize for mobility. The applicants were from 563 companies in 36 countries and all of them had to face very strict criteria. However, despite so many competitors, it was StorkJet, that has been granted the Gold Award and as a result, was selected as the best and most promising company on the market. (storkjet.com)

The 4th edition of the European Startup Prize ChangeNow included 563 companies from 36 countries. The Final Ceremony took place in Paris on the 19th of May. The winners were able to get some knowledge about the entire ecosystem of major companies, EU institutions, VIPs, and investors. Also, some important figures took part in the event, for example, the Prince of Monaco, HSH Prince Albert II, Vice-President for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight, Maroš Šefčovič, and Vice President at European Investment Bank, Lilyana Pavlova.

StorkJet has been growing since 2014. The company has a clear purpose – it helps airlines reduce fuel consumption, which reduces costs, but from an environmental perspective. It is also important in terms of reducing emissions and carbon footprint. Thanks to StorkJet’s idea and the use of a special algorithm, the business has already optimized 4.1 million flights and reduced emissions by about 106 tons of CO2 each year.
