Today Poland will play against the runner-up of the FIFA ranking

Belgium, runner-up in the International Football Federation’s rankings, will be Poland’s rivals on Wednesday evening in Brussels. At stake are points in Group 4 of Division A of the Nations League. “The Red Devils” lost to the Netherlands in the first round, and the White and Reds beat Wales.

The coach Czeslaw Michniewicz does not doubt that his team will face a difficult meeting.

“But it will also give us answers to what we need to improve in our game. On the background of this opponent these deficiencies, which sometimes can be hidden with a weaker rival, will be very visible,” admitted the coach, who will lead the national team for the fourth time.

Grzegorz Krychowiak, on the other hand, believes that the rivals can play with extra determination on Wednesday after an unexpectedly high 1:4 defeat against the Netherlands.

“As a footballer, from my experience, I know that if I lose, I want to make amends in the next game. We expect a difficult match, but we also want to win it and continue our preparations for the World Cup” – noted the midfielder of the white-and-red team.

The hosts will be without Romelu Lukaku, who suffered an injury in the meeting with the Netherlands. Besides, the Spanish selector Robert Martinez announced that there will be other changes, but they are not related to the result of the first match.

“The changes were planned in advance based on how the players finished the club season and how many minutes they played. They will not be caused by what happened on the pitch against the Netherlands,” he added.

The match in Brussels is scheduled for 8.45 pm (GMT+2)
