Our fellow Pole, Łukasz Koczocik, who became famous for his heroic defense of the London Bridge, will receive one of the highest British civilian honours. The award he is to receive will celebrate his actions from November when he restrained an attacker in the English capital.
The 38-year-old Pole is to receive one of the highest civilian awards in Great Britain: the George’s Cross or the Queen’s Medal for Courage. In addition to Łukasz K., other people who participated in the fight against the 28-year-old terrorist Usman Khan will also be decorated. The ceremony is scheduled for 2020. Back in November in London, Usmar Khan attacked people gathered in the Fishmongers’ Hall building, where a seminar on the reintegration of criminals into the society took place. Before he was shot by the police the assailant killed two people – a man and a woman, and wounded another three. The Islamic extremist also threatened to detonate explosives.
