Artistic, dance, theatrical, historical, weaving, calligraphy, and photography workshops, multimedia exhibitions, various themed activities, film screenings, theatrical performances, educational games and animations, concerts – these are just some of the offerings prepared for the winter holidays by museum and artistic institutions led and co-led by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. From January 15 to February 25, over 80 institutions will be implementing a special program for children and youth. We invite you to explore the rich offerings and take advantage of the opportunities for shared activities.
the Pilecki Institute
The Pilecki Institute extends a warm invitation to high school students preparing for their history exams or those with a keen interest in contemporary history. The series of sessions are free of charge, commencing at 12:00 PM and lasting approximately one hour each.

15.01 – Screening of “A więc wojna” and Q&A with co-author Grzegorz Czerniak
16.01 – Exhibition tour “Zawołani po imieniu” and workshops on the realities of life under German occupation
17.01 – History in English. A treat for those tackling both history and English language exams – a review of 20th-century history coupled with language skills practice
18.01 – Shelter in Ochota – the story of Warsaw’s largest known hiding place, sheltering around 40 Jews for several months
19.01 – Historical board games
22.01 – Pilecki known and unknown. Have we learned everything about Rotmistrz Witold Pilecki, the patron of the Institute of Solidarity and Valor?
23.01 – Augustów roundup. What did the entry of the Red Army into Polish territory signify? Exploring the largest post-war crime against Poles in Europe in 1945.
24.01 – Decision: to save lives – Exhibition tour and lecture: “Service and Solidarity – the story of the Łados Group”
