In a bold criminal act, an ATM was blown up in the village of Kłodawa, near Gorzów Wielkopolski, on the night between Saturday and Sunday. The incident was reported by Commissioner Grzegorz Jaroszewicz of the Gorzów Wlkp. City Police.
The targeted ATM, located next to a market in Kłodawa (Lubusz Voivodeship), was completely destroyed in the explosion. The police received the alert around 2:30 AM on Sunday and immediately dispatched officers to the scene.
A forensic team conducted a thorough investigation of the site and collected evidence. Efforts are currently underway to apprehend the perpetrators. Preliminary findings suggest that the criminals likely failed to achieve their objective, as they did not manage to steal the cash cassettes.
According to the law, crimes of this nature, including theft with burglary or attempted burglary, carry a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. Additionally, the suspects could face charges of property destruction, which is punishable by up to five years in prison.
