Polish gamers are increasingly diverse, balancing work and gaming, with a strong preference for PCs. Female gamers now outnumber men.
A new report, “The Many Faces of Polish Gamers 2024,” reveals that Poland’s gaming community is becoming more diverse. According to research by SW Research, commissioned by Omen and HyperX (HP Inc.), an increasing number of Poles are dedicating up to 10 hours a week to gaming, with a growing preference for laptops and desktops over mobile devices.
Diverse Demographics and Motivations
Polish gamers are split into three main groups: casual (30%), moderately engaged (39%), and hardcore (30%). Surprisingly, more women (54%) are playing than men, with the 25–34 age group being the most active. Players enjoy gaming for entertainment, challenge, and storytelling, with RPGs dominating the scene.
Social Benefits and Career Balance
Nearly half of Polish gamers value online relationships as much as real-world ones, while 83% manage full-time jobs alongside gaming. Additionally, 54% game while traveling, using accessories like wireless headphones and mice.
