The most prestigious Cybersecurity Forum begins

On 1-3 September in Krynica-Zdrój the CYBERSEC CEE Region&Cities conference will be held, devoted to cooperation in the sphere of cyber security, technology development, and the development of effective tools to combat cybercrime. Approximately 60 speeches, panels, and discussions will take place during these days.

Europe’s digital security and resilience depend on the commitment of its regions and cities and real public-private partnerships. This is how to start a digital transformation, based on security and values. That is why CYBERSEC CEE Regions&Cities was created. As one of the most influential conferences in Europe, its mission is to strengthen and highlight the potential of interregional cooperation and regional opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe.

The organizer of the event Ewelina Kasprzyk from the Kościuszko Institute told Niezalezna .pl what will happen in Krynica-Zdrój, which for three days will become the digital capital of Poland.

“During the conference, four thematic tracks will be presented: Digital Space, Digital Three Seas, Cyber Security of Local Government Administration (PL), and Krynica Goes Digital,” said Ewelina Kasprzyk.

“During these days there will be about 60 speeches, panels, and discussions on 4 stages with the participation of – confirmed at this time – several hundred people on-site and probably twice as many or more online. Among the discussion topics will be “The economics of cyber security – to buy, build, insure or outsource” with the participation of representatives of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Justice, the Polish Information Technology Association, and the Marshal’s Office of the Malopolska Region,”- points out Izabela Albrycht, chairwoman of the Program Council of Cybersec Cee Regions&Cities.

The event will also be devoted to conventional security issues, including the future of the U.S. military presence in Europe, or the North Atlantic Alliance’s new strategic concept and disinformation, as well as recovery from the economic crisis that resulted from the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
