Ten years ago, on May 2nd, 2013, Polish President Komorowski marked the day with a parade of pink flags and a chocolate eagle. Today, Poland celebrates “Flag Day”, a day of pride for every Polish patriot in perhaps the most important national symbol. Such a holiday is always a good opportunity for a quick reminder of history: where did this flag of ours come from in the first place, why is it that way, and what should it look like?
