“The current government, unfortunately, is not focused on addressing the real concerns of Polish citizens. Instead, it is preoccupied with political witch hunts, aggression, and stripping more MPs of their immunity,” said Karol Nawrocki, a civic candidate for the presidency of Poland, during a visit to Radzymin.
Easter Price Surge
While visiting the market in Radzymin, Nawrocki pointed out what opposition politicians have been warning about for several days — the soaring cost of living ahead of Easter.
He admitted, “We are facing the most expensive Easter holidays in the history of the Third Polish Republic.”
“Prices in Poland are high — and sadly, they’re only going to get higher. No amount of government propaganda, no matter how many academics, professors, or so-called experts appear on state-run or even some commercial TV stations claiming that Poland is on the path to prosperity and growth, will change that. Poles are a wise nation — they can see through Donald Tusk’s lies and the government’s propaganda of success,” he said.
He added, “If anyone thinks that food prices haven’t gone up, they should simply go to a store or a market and see for themselves, rather than rely on what’s being said on government-run TV.”
“Just to give you some numbers: in the past year alone, cheese prices have gone up by 34%, eggs by 43%, bread by 32%, tomatoes by 39%. Butter prices have increased by 57%, and cooking oil by 35%,” Nawrocki stated.
He continued: “These are, of course, just statistics. But in the 260 counties where I’ve met with Polish men and women, everyone is talking about the rising cost of living. Today, life is harder for Poles than it was a year ago — and even more so compared to two years ago.”
