Nationwide speed control operation on Monday by Polish police, focusing on accident-prone areas.
On Monday, traffic police officers will conduct a nationwide speed control operation to enforce vehicle speed limits, according to the Polish National Police Headquarters.
International Coordination
This operation is part of an international initiative coordinated by the European Traffic Police Network, ROADPOL. Officers will focus on speed measurements, especially in areas prone to accidents caused by excessive speed.
SPEED Groups Involvement
“Police SPEED groups, tasked with countering dangerous road behavior, including speeding, will also participate in the operation,” explained the National Police Headquarters. Speeding is the leading cause of fatal road accidents.
Appeal for Caution
Drivers are urged to adhere to speed limits and exercise caution, particularly in areas requiring heightened awareness, such as pedestrian crossings, bicycle lanes, and intersections. The increased vigilance is crucial for road safety.
