Poland Women’s Volleyball Team won against Turkey in a friendly match

In a highly-anticipated friendly match held in Krosno, the Polish women’s volleyball team displayed their prowess by defeating Turkey 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 25-16, 20-25). Both teams treated the encounter as a crucial test ahead of the upcoming European Championships, set to commence on August 15. Coaches Stefano Lavarini and Daniele Santarelli fielded their strongest lineups, showcasing a competitive spirit throughout the match.

Joanna Wołosz returned strongly to the Polish squad, reinforcing the already talented roster. Poland had previously encountered Turkey in the group stage of the Nations League in Hong Kong, where the Polish team emerged victorious with a 3-0 win.

Poland’s attackers, Magdalena Stysiak and Olivia Różański, led the charge, while the team’s formidable serves put significant pressure on Turkey’s reception. Although both teams demonstrated their strengths, Poland managed to secure crucial moments, particularly in the second set when Agnieszka Korneluk’s blocking prowess played a decisive role.

Despite some lineup changes later in the game, Poland maintained their consistency, limiting errors and earning a well-deserved victory. The coaches agreed to play at least four sets, regardless of the result, emphasizing the importance of gaining valuable experience.

Heading into their subsequent matches on Friday and Saturday in Mielec, Poland aims to carry their momentum forward and build on their success.
