“The harassment of my parents is yet another form of retaliation against me for exposing corruption among PO politicians,” Tomasz Duklanowski wrote on X. This revelation comes on the heels of reports about political asylum for Marcin Romanowski, raising questions about whether the government is escalating its actions in response to recent news from Budapest.
“After 5:00 PM, the police raided my parents’ home. Only my mother was there because, due to her heart arrhythmia, she didn’t have the strength to accompany my father to a Christmas gathering for former anti-communist opposition activists. My mother said there were two or three officers who claimed they were looking for me,” Duklanowski posted on X.
He continued: “I am not in hiding. Just last week, I attended a trial involving Grodzki and appeared live on Radio Wnet. Harassing my parents is yet another form of retaliation against me for exposing corruption among PO politicians.”
Tomasz Duklanowski, a former editor-in-chief of Radio Szczecin, is known for a series of high-profile articles in which patients accused Senate Speaker Tomasz Grodzki of accepting bribes. In January 2020, Grodzki threatened legal action against Duklanowski and other media outlets that reported these claims. Subsequently, he filed a private defamation lawsuit against Duklanowski.
