Polish scientists developed SinStop, a natural solution to halt golden algae growth, offering a safe, effective method to protect aquatic life.
An interdisciplinary team of specialists from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW-PIB) and the company Ecco-Logic, under the aegis of the Ministry of Infrastructure, has developed an innovative method to eliminate the harmful golden algae. The new product, SinStop, is entirely natural and silicon-based, showing high effectiveness in preventing water blooms, a breakthrough on a global scale.
Successful Experiment
Recently, a scientific experiment conducted in the Gliwice Canal successfully inhibited the growth of Prymnesium parvum using SinStop. Crucially, the treatment had no adverse effects on aquatic life, protecting fish populations and initiating natural water purification processes.
A Sustainable Solution
Professor Robert Czerniawski, IMGW-PIB director and project leader, confirmed that this method offers a safe and effective way to reduce fish deaths and combat eutrophication without negative environmental impacts. The widespread use of SinStop could significantly reduce the risk of future ecological disasters.
