    President Andrzej Duda Honors Prison Service Generals with Promotions

    In a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace on November 9th, President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, conferred promotions to the ranks of general on officers from the Polish Armed Forces and uniformed services. Among the nominees were two officers from the Prison Service. Deputy Minister Michał Woś attended the event on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.


    President Andrzej Duda expressed gratitude to the Prison Service generals for ensuring safety and upholding human rights within the Polish prison system. He emphasized the significance of their role in building a modern, secure, and responsible state.

    Colonels Artur Koczerba, Regional Director of the Prison Service in Koszalin, and Piotr Sękowski, Deputy Director General of the Prison Service, were appointed to the rank of Prison Service general. Deputy Minister Michał Woś, responsible for the Prison Service at the Ministry of Justice, presented the nominees with commemorative sabers.
