No entry to the Polish forests

Due to the state of the epidemic, access to forests is forbidden from April 3 to April 11. The forest guard and forest service may impose a fine of up to PLN 500 for breaking the ban and send a request to the sanitary inspection for punishment. In this case, the penalties range from 5 to 30 thousand PLN.

State Forests’ spokeswoman Anna Malinowska stressed that the police are helping the forest guard in controlling compliance with the ban on access to the forest. National Parks remain closed as well, the Ministry of Environment informed in a press release on Friday. “Unfortunately, recent days show that despite requests and appeals, many people still use isolation time for picnics and social gatherings, including in areas managed by the State Forests,” the ministry informed. Therefore, in accordance with the COVID-19 Act, the General Director of State Forests and the Directors of National Parks “ordered a periodic admission ban”.
