Poland may soon lift the order to wear face masks in public

Many Poles have been waiting for this information for a long time. There is a chance that in the next two weeks, the Polish Ministry of Health is going to ease the order to wear face masks in public. According to Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Health, Sławomir Gadomski, at first, the order to wear masks could be lifted in the regions where the coronavirus epidemic is in a definite retreat.

“We see that there are some regions in Poland in which restrictions could be eased. There are currently 260 new coronavirus infections in the country, including 209 in the Silesian voivodeship and a dozen in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. So today, we’re analysing the ‘R’ factor – the virus growth rate, as well as the population density in individual regions. In the coming weeks, we’re planning on easing the order to wear face masks in some regions in the open air. We are not talking about easing this order in enclosed spaces”, stated Gadomski.
