If there are active hardware stores, I think furniture stores will also be open. I think that such a decision will be made by Prime Minister Morawiecki today, Stanisław Szwed, deputy Minister of the Family, announced on Friday. He confirmed that the restrictions may subsequently be limited in gastronomy.
When asked in an interview for the Program One of Polish Radio, whether Prime Minister Mateusz Morwawiecki will inform today about the removal of some of the restrictions and whether it is true that furniture stores would be opened first, and then restaurants, the deputy minister confirmed.
“Yes. I think such a decision will be taken today. We also wanted to stop the growth of infections from the very beginning. You can see that there is progress,” the deputy head of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy said.
The deputy minister stressed that the economy was “extremely important”.
“Although the aid is very large in our country, obviously there are industries that are particularly vulnerable here, and this industry is definitely gastronomy, as well as a trade. And in this case, if there are active hardware stores, I think that furniture stores will also be open,” he announced.
Due to the increase in coronavirus infections and the introduction by the government of new restrictions in the state of the epidemic, some stores in shopping malls, centers and retail parks with an area of over 2,000 sq m are closed until November 29.
