    The head of the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs visits Poland

    Economic and regional cooperation, security, including energy, eastern policy, bilateral relations, fighting the pandemic and the rights of national minorities were the topics of Monday’s conversation between the head of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, and the head of diplomacy from Lithuania, Gabrielius Landsbergis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

    “Relations between Poland and Lithuania are very good. We have a similar view on many issues relating to security, eastern policy, strengthening transatlantic relations, selected issues on the EU agenda, development of cooperation in the field of energy and transport. Thank you Minister Landsbergis for his visit to Warsaw at the beginning of his term of office,”emphasized minister Rau, quoted in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement.

    The ministry said that during the meeting, the ministers discussed the issue of close cooperation between Poland and Lithuania in the field of security, combating the pandemic, eastern policy and in relation to the implementation of energy projects and energy security policy in the region.

    “They also discussed the cooperation between Poland and Lithuania in the regional dimension, including the Three Seas Initiative, which contributes to the development of the region and the improvement of its security,” noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
