    Kajetanowicz wins Barbórka Rally for the eighth time in a row [VIDEO]

    Kajetan Kajetanowicz, driving a Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, won the 59th Warsaw Rally Championship. Barbórka Rally. The WRC3 runner-up and three-time European champion triumphed in the event for the eighth consecutive year.

    Kajetanowicz was the fastest on all six special stages. The second place in the event traditionally closing the rally season in Poland was taken by Mikołaj Marczyk (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo), third in this year’s European Championship, who lost 21.09 seconds to the winner.

     

    Third place was taken by Michał Ratajczyk (Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) with a loss of 39.76.

     

    Last season, the event was cancelled due to a coronavirus pandemic.

     

    Saturday’s competition will be concluded with the iconic Criterium of Aces at Karowa Street. Demonstration rides downtown will begin as early as 4 p.m. Afterwards, the best 45 competitors of Barbórka will compete for the statuette of Mrs Karowa, which will be awarded during the ceremony closing the rally Saturday in the capital city.
