On Tuesday (14 Dec), Border Guard officers together with firefighters and WOT soldiers carried out a rescue for several hours. Four illegal immigrants were stuck in the swamps. The Border Guard reported that two of them were taken to hospital.
“Yesterday the Border Guard officers from the facilities in Michałow and Narewka together with the firefighters carried out a rescue for several hours. Four illegal immigrants from Syria were stuck in the swamps. They were found thanks to the territorials’ drone. Two of them were taken to hospital,” the Border Guard tweeted.
“Due to the cold temperatures, the rescue was a fight for their health and lives. Three men and one woman, who illegally crossed the Polish-Belarusian border, were got out of the swamp. The migrants were chilled but in stable condition,” WOT reported.
